Salman Saadat was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Petrolube in January 2024, bringing over three decades of experience and proven success in several functional and market roles within the global energy sector.

 

At the helm of Petrolube, Salman is set to steer the organisation towards unprecedented growth and innovation for the foreseeable future, leveraging his extensive background as a change-champion skilled in leading multinational companies through complex transformations, market expansions and strategic initiatives. Known for his senior leadership and business acumen, Salman is striving to future proof Petrolube by positioning it to adeptly navigate the dynamic challenges and opportunities within the ever-evolving global energy landscape.

 

Throughout his career, Salman has held a series of impactful leadership positions within Chevron Corporation across diverse regions, including Asia Pacific, South and Central Africa, and the Middle East. His career highlights include serving as the General Manager for Transportation and Operations in the Asia Pacific region at Chevron Corporation before transitioning to his most recent role as Chief Transformation Officer for Nghi Son Refining and Petrochemical in Vietnam. In these positions, Salman led high-performing teams across more than 20 countries, delivering sustainable progression and record profitability as well as optimising shareholder value through strategic leadership, stakeholder management and organisational redesign.

 

In addition to his executive roles, Salman has contributed significantly to the industry through his participation on various boards of prominent organisations. He served as a Director and Council Member for the Joint Inspection Group (JIG), represented Chevron on the Board of Trustees for the Petroleum Institute of Thailand (PTIT) for seven years, and was a Board Member of the ROSE Foundation in South Africa. 

 

Salman holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Karachi, Pakistan.

Salman gained an Executive MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Prior to joining Petrolube in 2010, Salman worked within supply chain logistics at Shell Lubricants Middle East and South Asia, and Shell Pakistan.

Clint Nickall qualified as a Mechanical Engineer from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa.

Clint is responsible for the Sales & Marketing Strategy and development of the business in all export markets outside of KSA. Relatively new to the business, joining in 2021, Clint brings more than 30 years’ experience across a variety of engineering, fuels, manufacturing, supply chain and sales management roles from multinational petrochemical companies.

Clint was also Chairman of the Rose Foundation in South Africa, who is responsible for the collection and recycling of used lubricating oils and associated waste, ensuring a sustainable solution for used oils.
